Grades 2 – 12The Kids Health site provides doctor-approved health information for young children and teens alike. This award winning site was created by the Nemours Foundation’s Center for Children’s Health Media. Physicians ensure the accuracy of the information on the site by reviewing all content before it is published. Kid’s Health is divided into an area for younger children and teens with age-appropriate content for both. The site includes scores of in-depth articles, games, and resources.
2. Food Pyramid
Grades 5- 12The Food Pyramid site was created by The Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion, which is an organization of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. It's purpose is to advance and promote dietary guidance for all Americans. The site includes information on the food pyramid, dietary guidelines, and help on reaching a healthier weight. There are podcasts with tips to improve your eating habits along with meal planners and meal trackers to help individuals reach their goal.
3. Center for Young Women's Health
Grades 7-12The Center for Young Women’s Health is a collaboration between the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine and the Division of Gynecology at Children’s Hospital Boston. The Center was founded in 1998 by Dr. S. Jean Emans, Chief of Adolescent Medicine, Dr. Marc R. Laufer, Chief of Gynecology, and Phaedra Thomas, RN, BSN. The Center brings together high quality health services and health information to our teen patients. The goal of this Web site is to help teen girls improve their understanding of normal health and development, along with an understanding of specific diseases.
The Young Women's Health Site supplies a vast amount of information to teens from nutrition and fitness to emotional health. The site is easy to navigate and provides information on a level that is easy for teens to understand.

Grades 6-8The Atlas of the Body is part of a larger site of the American Medical Association. The Body Atlas furnishes information about each of the systems of the body. Students can easily follow the extensive diagrams on the site.

Grades 7 - 12Healthy eating is important. On this site, kids learn important facts about food and how it helps our bodies. Students learn healthy eating habits and build a foundation for good health for a lifetime. There is a site for younger children and also a site geared to teens and adults. While each site is designed differently according to age level, the message is the same.
Both sites offer many different activities. The “Tip of the day” offers support for healthy eating habits. Students are able to send their own “tips of the day” to the Web site. There are also quizzes, great web links, activities, and games available.
2). Bam! Body and Mind
Grades 4 - 8BAM! Body and Mind provides information to students on a variety of topics to help them make healthy lifestyle choices. This “kid-friendly” site will encourage students to learn more about health topics through games, quizzes and interactive features. A comic creator allows students to learn how to resolve conflict and stressful situations while the exercise personality quiz customizes activities for each student.
In the Teacher’s corner, teachers are provided with numerous activities linked to the national education standards for science and health.
BAM! Body and Mind was created by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.3. The Cool Spot
Grades 6-8
The Cool Spot was created for eleven to thirteen years old by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. The goal of this Web site is to give young teens a better understanding about the dangers of alcohol. On this site, teens can learn accurate information about alcohol, discuss peer pressure, and view statistics on teen alcohol consumption.The Human Mind and Body Web site examines the body and mind with extensive diagrams and interactive activities. Information is provided on the organs, the skeleton, the muscles, and the nervous system. The interactive activities help reinforce the concepts explained on this site. Flash is required for the interactive activities.
