The site contains over 75 interactive adventures covering such topics as art, science, history, engineering and technology, people and cultures, health and medicine, and economics. Eduweb has developed effective online learning experiences for all students through its numerous interactive adventures which can easily be searched by grade level or by topic. There is something for everyone on this site. Macromedia Flash is required.
My Wonderful World
Grades 4- 8The National Geographic Society, along with the support from several other organizations, initiated the “My Wonderful World” campaign. The goal of the program is to improve global geographic knowledge. This site offers teachers and parents tips for integrating geography into children's daily lives. A monthly newsletter is available. There are also many resources, games, and contests on the site. In addition, students can post comments on the blog, play games, or make their own maps. It certainly is a site worth looking into.
The National Archives Experience
Grades 4 -12The National Archcives Experience is a unique Web site that contains the vast resources of the National Archives. Please take a look at this Web site even if you don't teach history. It is quite unique and there is so much to see and learn.
This web site puts all of the resources of the National Archives at your fingertips. You can search the archives and then save your collections. You can create posters and movies. If you register (at no cost) you are able to save your poster and movies.
